  12. Is there a utility that will *just* mark a disk as validated a disk
  13. without performing a disk scan? The reason I ask is utilities like
  14. DiskSalve returned no errors yet the disk is still not validated.
  15. The disk was OK and had no errors prior to a program crash so I do
  16. not suspect physical disk damage.

  18. Failing that is there any method to prevent the disk validation
  19. process from running?

  21. This has occured on numerous occasion in the past with both IDE and
  22. SCSI harddrives and I have yet to find a reliable disk recovery
  23. program. I have one of the earlier A1200 (Kickstart 39.106,
  24. Workbench 39.29) and am begining to wonder if there are any bugs in
  25. the firmware.
